SPANISH INVASION

We decided to have another child, so we imported one from Spain. Her name is Beatriz. She is a lovely, quiet young lady who is visiting Ireland and staying with us while she attends Erin's school until Christmas. She didn't know any English when she arrived, thankfully my less than perfect Spanish was enough to get by on. Once you got past my Texas accent, I'm sure.

We had a few rough spots in the middle before Fiesta and had to take in her sister, Mercedes for a week, but now that things are back to normal (whatever that is) we all seem to be getting on well.

The kids love to play together. Beatriz has a younger sister and brother just Erin and Andrew's ages, so she knows well the trails of siblings. I did have to talk with Andrew about, that all though we need to share time with Beatriz, she is our guest not our new constant on demand playmate. It took him a while to understand that.

It has been a new experience, we'll have to wait until December to find out if it was all it was cracked up to be, but for now our family is one bigger and that much happier.
